Interesting that the top 3 teams in Massey are all in the Final Four.

Bronto,
Have you calculated how accurate Massey was in predicting the tourney games this year?

More accurate than any of you (so far):

The "seeding committee" still has a chance, I see. I assume that would require Shorter to win it all, over OBU. "Shorter" odds, but not impossible...

the seeding committee has a chance to "win" the bracket, but that's based on higher points in later rounds. On a straight right/wrong evaluation, Massey is about twice as accurate so far.

That said, they are both doing fairly well this year.

I was surprised to notice that Massey has now (based on scores up through Sunday) flipped Concordia and Shorter, so that Shorter is now ranked #2 and Corcodia's #3! However, he still has Concordia in 2nd place and Shorter in 3rd in the "power" column, which is supposedly the "Predictoor". Concordia's still the predicted winner, although the margin has now narrowed from 2 points to one.

The way you do a prediction is to use the "matchups" function under the "More" dropdown menu at the top. Just select the 2 teams and the home/away/vs option, and there you go.

I've never gotten a definition of the "Power" number that clear enough that I could explain it to other people. The prediction is based on each team's offense, defense, and home advantage numbers.

Any idea how well Massey did with the women's tournament, compared to the seedings?

Too late now, unless somebody saved the pre-tournament Massey data for the women.
