Top 4 teams are clear cut this year -lee,embry-riddle, lsu-shreveport, and Union,Tn. All 4 should be in lewiston...couple of other top teams in the South region are auburn-montgomery and Tn Wesleyan...should be a knock-down, drag out between Lee and AUM. Embry riddle and Union are heavy favorites in their conferences and Shreveport should coast as well.

There is an East and a West Division again this year, but each team has a few cross-divisional series that also count in the conference standings.

the reason I ask is because all season the SSAC website has had the standings grouped together rather than broken down by East and West... leader of the West would look a heckava lot better than second overall right now

I guess I was only partially correct. From the SSAC website:

Quote:
Schools will play each team within its division and two home and two away cross-division series each year. Beginning in 2013, two new cross-division opponents would be rotated into each team's schedule to replace two cross-divisional opponents with whom a two-year series had been completed. An East Division and West Division winner will be named but the top eight teams that qualify for the conference tournament will be based each team's overall record. The automatic qualifying bid going to the conference tournament champion and the conference tournament runner-up. The winner of the conference tournament is also named conference champion.

Looks like they have the standings grouped to make it easier to determine the top eight, instead of taking the top 4 from each division.
