Glad to see the new message board up and running. Lets get some talk going like the other boards.

The 2011 Pre-season rankings are out. Here is who i think is ranked too high and too low.

Too High:
#2 Simon Fraser - I know, they won it all last year. But still don't think they were a top 5 team. They put it together at the right time with an experienced coach.
#4 Concordia (Ore) - I thought they were over rated last year and I think they proved it by going 1-2 in pool play at nationals.
#10 Shorter - New coach, lost a bunch of starters from last season. Could be good but who knows
#14 Marian - Good record last year but played no one last year. Ranked high based on Bethel's reputation
#15 Bethel - Lost a bunch of starters from last year. Could be good but who knows
#15 Olivet Nazarene - Offense carried them last year. Lost a lot of offense, returns same pitchers

Too Low:
#9 Trevecca Nazarene - Returns alot, Impressive fall showing
#10 Oklahoma City - No reason other than its OKC they are always there at the end
#20 Columbia - Teter is back. She's good enough to carry them
#21 Mid-America Nazarene - They were under ranked last year. They return plenty.

Lets hear your thoughts...

I think Marian is right about where they should be. The MCC is a pretty quality conference for the midwest. Seems like the MCC has a handful of committed coaches and should improve.

Don't see a lot of quality wins for Marian that I would bestow such a high ranking. It would be nice to have an RPI to help teams understand how soft some schedules are while seeing a team with some L's in their column get more respect for their strength of schedule. Marian can be ranked, but I'd rather see them in the 20's and a team like William Penn move up out of RV parking and so forth...
