I'm hearing rumors of a complete overhaul of the MSFA schedule for the upcoming year. Someone on the D-2 website told me that with the departure of Malone,Walsh,McKendree and Quincy that the entire MSFA schedule is being changed. Anyone have any info? Or possible date when the 2012 schedule will be released? I've scrolled through diffent schools websites, hoping to find a 2012 schedule. Found 1 [Robert Morris] and noticed that St Xavier plays them on 11/10.

From a reliable source over on the D-2 site,
Indianapolis University, [D-2] and a member of the new GLVC conference is trying to schedule either St Xavier, Marian, or St Franny [In.] to fill a void in their OOC schedule.
Hopefully we'll see a 2012 schedule soon. I know St X has 2 games to fill, with the loss of Malone and Walsh. We do have Robert Morris, according to their 2012 schedule. That game is on 11/10

We have usually been able to fill for the 11th game. No doubt Coach Fem is searching. He wants to play all the games he can. I would love to see a strong D-II team on the schedule. This one seems pretty weak thus far. Hopefully both St. Francis schools will field tough teams this year. We all know Marian will.
Anybody know how Langston is supposed to be this season?

Langston is always strong defensively and always has talent. Remember, their 3rd string RB from 2010 rushed for 1000 yards last year at Oklahoma. However, they're offensive scheme isn't built to keep up with a team like St. X. They will have far more talent than Olivet, and a better defense than St. Francis, IL. But St. X should be able to handle them rather easily.

I know through my D-2 sources that a D-2 team from the GLVC conference was trying to schedule either St X, St Franny In, or Marian for a Nov 3rd open week on their schedule. Too bad we couldnt get this team to open against us in late August or the early October week we have open....
