What is going on at MAC?

I have heard that McPherson hired Missouri Valley College's Defensive Backs coach Denny Honnold to be the Defensive Coordinator and Iowa State's defensive quality control Ben Barkema for Linebackers and special teams. But now they have been released because the school would not hire them cause of DUI charges.

Now, the new defensive coordinator is Steve Fox from Oklahoma Panhandle State(?), and former grandview player EJ Peterson.

What is going on?!!!

OPSU was ranked #2 in D2 in total defense under Steve Fox and had a record of 3 - 7.

Offense must be lacking or the whole story isn't shown in the stats.

......however against the four D2 opponents they played they gave up an average of 393 per game and were 0-4 and those four D2 schools they played are mostly middle to bottom feeders nationally. the fact that they were ranked was really a joke. If they played lonestar or MIAA schools they would of seen that average of yards given up approach the 600 mark if not more.......

That makes sense then... maybe he will do better on a smaller stage.

.....I agree, I think he got along pretty well that year he was at Tabor, the players liked him. I don't recall what segment he coached.

He was a DB coach I think. Something Mac needs drastic improvement with. Wondering if they'll install a 3-3-5, I'm gonna check out the spring game the 28th and see how its looking
