When you are an offensive genius, you get a job in the NFL. When you get a job in the NFL, you lose games. When you lose games, you take a job at Arkansas. When you live in Arkansas, you get bored. When you get bored, you go looking for strange. When you go looking for strange, you find strange. When you find strange, you take it for a ride on your motorcycle. When you take strange for a ride on your motorcycle, she reaches around and grabs your junk. When she grabs your junk, you wreck your motorcycle. When you wreck your motorcycle, you end up at a press conference in a neck brace fighting for your job. Don't end up at a press conference in a neck brace en route to unemployment...switch from cable and upgrade to DirecTV.

Now that he has been fired by the Hogs, there goes the $ for the field turf. I'm ok with both. I like the natural grass, especially come playoff time. Wonder which MAC team he'll end up with....

In all seriousness, I hope he gets his stuff figured out. If I were him, I'd disappear for awhile eat some humble pie and figure out what was really important in my life. Then if football is really the most important thing, find something under the radar to be a assistant coach at a program who would take him. It is curious to me how someone with everything in the world could blow it by not staying on the straight and narrow. I know it has happened to several other athletes, coaches, presidents etc, just blows my mind. I hope for his and his families sake he gets his act together. My two cents.

THM, he's been a douche forever....his kid went to the Lights after drug problems in Loiusville area, and was a douche. I'm beginnning to think that family has no vinegar and water in the entire household....I'm glad we will keep our natural grass at Nelson. The field turf hurt the Grizz bigtime....my two cents.

Most of Havre and the campus community at the time was happy to see junior leave, his tricked out black Yukon was out of place around town, it was the nicest most expensive vehicle not driven by a hutterite in havre.

And he didn't sell homegrown eggs or 8 pound fryers in Uncle Joe's parking lot.....the one eyed gene surfaces again! So long to the 3.5 million dollar contract....all over a little volleyball pussy. Very expensive lap dance.

Well he was tough sombiatch growing up. Hot headed and a little full of himself. That was to be expected with his lineage. Great QB and winning attitude. He is in my book the best college coach in the game. That said....WTF Bobby! Stepping out on your wife is something to be deeply ashamed of. Quitting your pro coaching job and bailing out like the Baltimore Ravens is something to be ashamed about. Maybe it is time to take a sabbatical and get your sheisse together. Sure she was a sweetie, but why not get a little red convertible for your mid-life crisis? That said I think he'll be the head coach at a major college by the start of next season.

da dum dum.....PK will be here all week!!
I just loved the picture of him up there at the mic wearing that neak brace and all bruised up....don't know which is funnier; that one or the Nick Nolte DUI picture in the hawaiian shirt. Both are instant classics.

PKing-The University of Arkansas offered Petrino's mistress a 1st Class Ticket right out of town. She declined the offer stating, "I only ride coach." Dang PK, you've almost redeemed yourself.

"he who is without of sin cast the first stone" - bobby make an error in judgement and then tried to cover it up. he will coach again at the college level but i see him as a qb coach in the NFL until this blows over. bobby will be welcomed with open arms by a major program within 2-3 years.
not to get political, but the mood right now is there are consequences for your actions , whether it be UM, Penn State, Arkansas etc, but why hasnt that held true for the trash that was primarily responsible for the Wall Street mess that caused the "great ressession"? not one of the investment bank slime has gone to prison over something that affected each and every one of us?? and if anyone tells you it was all due to poor people (subprime loans) taking out loans they shouldnt have, thats just plain bull$hit....

the younger petrino came on the scene at northern an was an effective qb as a freshman. good touch with his passes. he also made a bad decision and had to deal with the consequences , like his father. in my opinion, he would have been a premier qb in this league had he stuck around.
the field turf deal has nothing to do with the petrinos. but if carroll does not get going on this project soon, they will not be the first frontier team with field turf - that horor will go to Montana Tech as they should have turf by this fall.

I don't see an NFL team hiring him. NFL players rarely criticize coaches because they know they may see them again. The Falcon players were unanimous in their scorn for Bobby, calling him a quitter among other things. I don't think that will fly. I see today that he was also texting/calling another woman, a model in AR for 3 mos last fall. An AD I know at a mid major school says he'll be back in major college football within a year. That seems like a stretch to me. Can you imagine screwing up a 3.5 mil a year job when your next one likely won't be for 5% of that?

Gimme a friggin' break. I know you meant to say "Congressmen who forced banks to give loans to people who couldn't afford to make the payments. Better yet, take it to the politics section. Bobby has shown his true colors not only once but twice now. A case could be made that he is an adulterer, liar and he lacks true courage. Sure he has the bravado, but true courage....no. Does Carroll College want their field to be named after that legacy? I say it's time to reevaluate.

There have been pledges of money for the field in the past, but all have fallen through. Petrino had always been mentioned as a potential donor, but there was never a commitment from him. I don't think we'll see the Petrino name on the field at Carroll. As far as Tech getting turf first, just remember it's not the field or the Jumbotron, it's the players and coaches. So far CC's still ahead.
