SCHEDULE - CC vs. Menlo in Spokane

Just heard some buzz that CC opens the season in Spokane WA against Menlo CA.

Anybody else heard anything about this???

I haven't heard this....but it would be an excellent strategy in one of CC's main recruiting areas. And, I think there would be a ton of CC fans from WA and OR (not to mention Mont.) that would attend the game.

What would Menlo get out of it? I assume it is cheaper to fly into Spokane vs flying into Helena?

Bruce Parker mentioned this at the football banquet in February. Labor Day weekend in Spokane. It sounded like they would play at Joe Albi Stadium, but in talking with my boys, it now sounds like the game might get moved to the "Red Turf" at Eastern Washington. More to come.

It's good news if Carroll is able to line up a game with Menlo, but unfortunate that it is in Spokane. I can see/understand the possible recruiting implications for having the game there, but how much revenue is lost by not having this game at Nelson? This is just another game I won't be able to watch. I would have been okay with a home and home.
